湯冷まし Yuzamashi is a teaware used to cool hot water. By using Yuzamashi, you will have an ideal temperature of 80 degrees which is good to make Matcha or brew Sencha tea etc. It is said that the temperature will drop by about 10 degrees when transferred to another container. This Yuzamashi is made by firing vermilion clay once, and then smoked black, which is mat and a beautiful Tokoname black colour. It has a wide mouth and is easy to use as a hot water cooler.
