This Friction press requires the above and below rollers to drive the plate with aid of the crank. The above roller is adjusted with the regulating screws (T shaped screws) which needs to be adjusted to the thickness of the lino or zinc. To achieve a good print it is important to ensure the top and bottom rollers are parallel, by adjusting the regulating screws by the same amount. It is recommend that you place the dry lino or zinc along with the felt and paper between the rollers and use the regulating screws to make adjustments until you acheive the correct presure before you apply the ink. If required the press can be clamped to a table using the openings at the bottom of the machine. Periodic oiling of the press at the point of roller rotation is recommended.
