This is a Japanese Lacquerware Soup Bowl. Kikko 亀甲 is a Japanese traditional pattern in the shape of turtle shell. The surface of outside has a Hexagonal pattern. The outside colour is brown with a woodgrain surface. The inside colour is a traditional red colour used in this kind of bowls in Japan.
